We read "What Sally Said" in class today. What is your interpretation of the ending of the vignette....Please respond in at least four sentences. Remember the TREE strategy. Topic Sentence, Reason, Explain the reason and Ending sentence.
Then we didn't need to worry. Until one day Sally's father catches her talking to a boy and the next day she doesn't come to school. And the next. Until the way Sally tells it, he just went crazy, he just forgot he was her father between the bucket and the belt.
You're not my daughter, you're not my daughter. And then he broke into his hands.

i do not get the last part of that vignette. So i could not do it.
this is pretty confusing and i dont know what interpretintation means, but il take a shot at it...I would say that he no longer loves her and is going to beat her up.
My interpretation in the end of this vignette is that her father must of ether abused her in some way or hurt her really badly, for her not to go be in school. For her dad to do something that harsh just because he saw her with a boy is pritty ridiculous, but it was in his religion. Then in the last two sentences he realizes what a horrible thing he did and thinks Sally is not his daughter and because of what he did, and starts crying. It's like he wants sally to forgive him,but Sally shoudn't even think of doing that and run away.
My interpretation at the end of the vignette is that Sally's dad is not going to love her and he might beat her up. Sally father is afraid of touching because she has bruises from when he was beating her up and her mother rubbed lard on her bruises. Sally is not going to get in love with her father because of what he did to her. Finally, Sally doesn't want to get in a situation with her husband again.
My interpretation on the end of this vignette. Is that the father is seeing that his daughter is going the wrong way.Teh father must have seen waht is the result with flirting with boys or gewtting to attached.
As an example, the father does not what happened to her sisters to happen to his daughter. Like getting pregant at early age, or being abused by men. He just wants her to control her life. (oppression)
Also the last sentence off braking in his arms. Means that he is crying in his arms, of being upset with his daughter.
I think that her father might have harmed her in a bad way, such as hit her. she has to lie to her frineds when they say what happened becuase she has black and blues all over her face. she tells her friends that she fell down the stairs. My interpretation or the end of the story is he finaly looks back and see's that he hurts salley. Now he is feeling really bad about hurting her.
I think that the father saw sally with another man. And that is not apart of there religon and her father was very mad. The father wants Sally to be apart of the religon and do evey thing the father says. The father beats her because he was very mad at her because she was talking to another boy and her father did not like that.
I think that her father doesn't want her the end up like his sisters. His sisters probably got pregnant at a young age or became a hore and it ruied there lives. He's mad and sad that she's talking to boys because the might get her pregnant or become a hore and she will be in the same situation as his sisters. He doesn't want to remember the that she's his daughter because she disobeyed his rule. He doesn't want it to happen to her.
My interpretation of the ending is that although her father beats her up she still loves him. Some how she still fells like she can change him and that she’s waiting on him a man to change her life. Female oppression is shown twice in this vignette. Once is that sally’s father beats her, and two is that she is waiting for her father to change and not beat her thus showing that she’s waiting on a man to change her life not taking charge. That’s my interpretation of this vignette.
that ger father beat her. he was mad at her for dressing like that. what she did is against her religeion. she lived her own life whithout her dad knowing until she got cought
