Please respond in a complete paragraph - remember TREE (Topic Sentence, Reason, Explain the reason, and End). Explain what you think Atticus means when he says the following quote. What was he trying to teach Scout?
"First of all," he [Atticus] said, "if you can learn a simple trick, Scout, you'll get along a lot better with all kinds of folks. You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view-until you climb into his skin and walk around in it."

What I think Atticus means is that you can't judge aperson befor you get to know them. In the book and movie Atticus shows that he is not judgemental and takes the case because he belives that Tom didn't do anything. By doing this he trys to teach Scout to not judge anyone until she nows them. Like with Scout judgeing her new teacher and her new ways of teaching. What I think is the biggest thing Atticus trys to teach Scout and even Jem and Dill is to leave the Radleys alone, and don't say all the bad things that have been made up about them because they never climbed into boos skin and walk around in it.
What atticus means is that you cant judge a person until you get to know them. If you judge someone to early you will get a bad perspective of who they really are. That happens to people they judge before they get to know someone. If people got to know Tom Robinson maybe they wouldnt have doubted him when he went to trial for the rape case.
What atticus is trying to say is that dont judge somone till you get to know them. Dont judge a man until you walk in there shoes. Like Tom Robinson people judged him because he was black thats not right people shouldnt do that and that is why Tom was convicted guilty and that he decided to take his own life into his own hands.
I think Atticus means that you can't juudge a person if you don't anyone. In the movir, Tom Robinson didn't do anything at all. I think that the children should leave the Radley's alone. They shouldn't say bad words anymore. Finally, they should be friendly to other people too.
I think that Atticus is trying to teach Scout that you cant judge a person until you know them. i think that Atticus is telling scout this when she is so young so that she will remeber it forever and will always take it into consideration befor she judges someone. When Atticus says that you never really know a person until you climb into his/her skin and walk around in it means that you cant judge a person until you know everything about them. He was trying to teach scout right from wrong.
Atticus means that you cant know how a person feels.Or you cant judge a person until you walk in there shoes. And know how it feels to be them becuase it cn be preety hard to be someone else.
